One machine, one route

The Side buggy safari

We run a single product and keep it simple: the 18 km Short route in an automatic buggy, from €30 for whoever drives and €15 for whoever rides alongside.

Why the buggy

Sit in, buckle your helmet, follow the guide

A buggy feels closer to a car than anything else off-road: it is automatic, you steer with a wheel, work two pedals and sit down inside a tubular frame rather than perched on top of a machine. Most drivers settle in on the practice loop.

The course lies inland from the Side coast, in the Manavgat district: forest tracks, dirt roads and uneven ground, with small streams to splash through. On some days there is mud as well, though nobody can promise it.

Briefings come first, then a compulsory practice drive. The guide keeps an eye on each driver and picks who drives the main loop; if steering is not for you, take the passenger seat on the same route for half the fare.

How the day unfolds

From collection to drop-off, set aside about 4 to 4.5 hours. Departures run at 08:00, 11:00 and 13:00; you are picked up ahead of that, and the exact pickup time arrives with your booking confirmation.

  1. 01

    The shuttle collects you

Wait at your hotel entrance in Side, Kumköy, Sorgun or one of the other covered areas. The pickup time depends on where you stay and is sent to you with your booking.

  2. 02

    Registration at the base

Drivers show an ID as proof of age, and you get your helmet. Goggles and a bandana can be bought on site if you want them.

  3. 03

    Two briefings

First what the day involves and how the group moves, then the safety rules: following the guide, keeping your distance, overtaking, stopping and what to do in an emergency.

  4. 04

    Practice drive

Each driver completes a short, compulsory practice run. The guide watches all of them, and it is the guide's decision alone whether you take the wheel for the main loop.

  5. 05

    Driver or passenger

Prefer not to steer, or advised against it by the guide? Then you cover the same 18 km in the seat beside a driver, at the passenger fare.

  6. 06

    The 18 km loop

Forest tracks, dirt roads, dust and shallow stream crossings behind the guide. Mud turns up when conditions allow and is never guaranteed.

  7. 07

    Shower, then home

Back at the base you can shower and change in the cabins. Then the shuttle returns you to your hotel.

Plain facts

Included, extra, and nothing in between

01

An automatic buggy

A wheel, two pedals and a seat you sit down into. Your helmet, the two briefings and a practice drive are part of the deal.

02

Shuttle from nine areas

Side, Kumköy, Evrenseki, Çolaklı, Titreyengöl, Sorgun, Kızılağaç, Gündoğdu and Kızılot are covered there and back. Staying elsewhere? Ask us first.

03

Two prices, nothing hidden

Drivers pay €30, passengers €15. Children aged 6+ pay the passenger fare and no seat is free. Goggles, drinks and photos are optional and settled at the base.

04

Pay when you arrive

We never ask for card details online. The fare is paid on the safari day, and a cancellation is free if it reaches us 48 hours or more before the start.

05

Four languages on WhatsApp

Write to us in English, German, Russian or Polish and a person replies.

06

The guide decides

We ask for no driving licence, since the buggies stay on private off-road land and never drive on a public road; the compulsory practice drive and the guide's judgement decide who drives.

Questions

Asked before booking

What does the Side buggy safari cost?
Whoever drives pays €30; whoever rides alongside pays €15, exactly half. Nothing else is on the price list: children aged 6 and over ride at the passenger fare and nobody travels free. Payment happens on the tour day.
How long does the day take?
Allow around 4 to 4.5 hours in total, counted from the moment you are collected. The shuttle, registration, briefings, practice drive and the 18 km loop all fit inside that window.
Do I need a driving licence?
No: a licence plays no part, because the buggies only ever drive on private off-road land and never touch a public road. What matters instead is being 16 or older, showing an ID at registration and getting through the compulsory practice drive.
Can someone ride with me?
Yes. One passenger can sit next to each driver, paying half of what the driver pays. The minimum passenger age is 6; anyone aged 6 to 15 rides as a passenger, and from 16 you may pick either seat.
Where exactly is the course?
Inland from the Side seafront, in the Manavgat district of Antalya province, on off-road land kept for the safari. The shuttle drives you out and back, so there is nothing for you to find.
Which hotels does the shuttle serve?
The return transfer is included from Side, Kumköy, Evrenseki, Çolaklı, Titreyengöl, Sorgun, Kızılağaç, Gündoğdu and Kızılot. If you are staying anywhere else, ask us on WhatsApp before you book.
What is in the price?
Included are the shuttle, the buggy, a helmet, both briefings, the practice drive, a guide for the whole loop, insurance as far as the operating policy covers it, plus showers and changing cabins. Goggles and bandanas can be bought on site; meals, drinks and photos cost extra.
What should I wear?
Old, comfortable clothes in dark colours that can take dust or mud, plus closed shoes or trainers, since flip-flops are no good for driving. Bring a change of clothes for after the shower if you like.
How does payment work, and what if plans change?
Reserve online or on WhatsApp without any card. You pay on the day of the safari, and you can cancel free of charge as long as you tell us at least 48 hours before the start.
