Side buggy safari hotel pickup: the nine areas
The round-trip transfer covers hotels in these nine areas around Side. For a hotel in any of them, being collected and dropped back afterwards is already part of the price you pay.
- Side
- Kumköy
- Evrenseki
- Çolaklı
- Titreyengöl
- Sorgun
- Kızılağaç
- Gündoğdu
- Kızılot
Included in both fares, there and back
There is no transfer supplement for these areas. The driver fare of €30 and the passenger fare of €15 both include being collected from your hotel, taken to the base and brought back again once the safari is over. You travel to and from the base by shuttle transfer.
Everyone who takes the transfer also joins the safari and pays as a driver or a passenger. Passengers can come from age 6, and children under 6 cannot be booked.
Your pickup time comes before your departure time
The three times you choose from when booking, 08:00, 11:00 and 13:00, are activity departure times. They are not pickup times. The transfer has to reach your hotel, follow its route for the day and arrive at the base before the activity can depart, so your pickup is always earlier than the departure printed on your booking.
How much earlier depends on where your hotel is, which area it belongs to and the route the transfer takes that day. For that reason no pickup time for any area or hotel appears on this site. Your exact time is confirmed with your booking, and if you are unsure about it, a WhatsApp message to +90 536 603 75 84 settles it.
Staying outside the nine areas
If your hotel is not in Side, Kumköy, Evrenseki, Çolaklı, Titreyengöl, Sorgun, Kızılağaç, Gündoğdu or Kızılot, please do not book straight away. Hotels in Manavgat town centre, Antalya, Belek and Alanya, for example, are outside the transfer list.
Message us on WhatsApp first with your hotel and the date you have in mind. We will tell you honestly whether a transfer can be arranged from there before you commit to anything. Nothing on this site promises a pickup from outside the nine areas.
The nine areas in three local guides
To keep things manageable, the nine pickup areas are covered in three local guides: Side together with Sorgun and Titreyengöl; Kumköy, Evrenseki and Çolaklı; and Gündoğdu, Kızılağaç and Kızılot. Each one sets out the same rules from the point of view of guests staying there: the round-trip transfer is included, the pickup time is confirmed with the booking, and 08:00, 11:00 and 13:00 are departure slots.
Whichever of the nine areas you are in, the safari, the fares and the order of the day are identical. The one thing that changes with your hotel is the pickup time, which is exactly why it is confirmed booking by booking rather than printed per area.
What to tell us when you book
The pickup can only be planned if we know exactly where you are staying. When you book, give the full name of your hotel and the area it is in. If your group is split between two hotels, name both, because each one gets its own pickup time.
Double-check the date and departure as well. The online calendar begins with tomorrow's date; to go the same day, message us on WhatsApp. Nothing is paid when you book, and you can withdraw without charge until 48 hours before the start, so a correction is easy if you spot a mistake early.
Being ready when the transfer arrives
Be ready at your hotel at the confirmed pickup time, dressed for the day: old, comfortable outdoor clothes in darker colours, plus closed shoes or trainers, as flip-flops are not suitable for driving. Bring something clean to change into after showering at the base.
Drivers should carry an ID, which the base checks to confirm they are 16 or over. No licence is asked for, since the safari is driven on a private off-road course, not a public road. A little money for extras such as goggles, a bandana, drinks or photos is useful too.
If the confirmed pickup time has passed and you cannot see the transfer, stay at the hotel and send us a WhatsApp message straight away; do not set off on your own.
Where the transfer takes you
The transfer takes you to the base, which sits on private off-road ground behind the Side coast, in the Manavgat district of Antalya province. From there the programme runs in a fixed order: registration, then the information talk and the safety talk, the vehicle explanation, the practice drive with the guide's assessment, and the 18 km off-road safari.
We do not give a driving distance or travel time from any area to the base, because they have not been measured and vary with the route. What we can say is the length of the whole outing: roughly 4–4.5 hours door to door, including the transfer in both directions.
